From Mashatu: Paul's Obituary

It is with deep regret and sadness that I must advise you of the unexpected passing away of Mashatu Game Reserve's walking and cycling guide, Paul Grobler
Paul (40) was leading a group of cyclist’s participation in the 2008 Tour de Kruger between The Northern Tuli Game Reserve and the Kruger National Park when he suffered an enormous heart seizure from which he did not recover. Despite members of his group rendering immediate first aid followed up by medically qualified assistance a short while later, Paul was pronounced dead.
As close associates and past clients will attest, Paul was extremely fit and exercised daily, either in the form of the walking safaris of which he was very will regarded or the ad hoc sidling safaris from the caps. His untimely passing away was therefore an enormous shock to us all.
Mashatu will miss him as he was an integral and committed part of the Mashatu adventure team. Our thoughts go out his family and friends at this sad time.
Please note that all walking safaris on Mashatu Game Reserve have been suspended until further notice.
The National Geographic WildCam Community has set up a forum in memory of Paul should you wish to read the increasing dedications being posted, please follow this link: http://forums.ngm.com/forums/t/7934.aspx
