These photographs are really exceptional.  I thought Sheri must be a professional photographer!

Beth, it  took me 9 years to get a lilac breasted roller in flight!  LOL

Sheri's album blew me away.  I had no idea she was such a talented photographer.  Not only that, but she had borrowed her son's camera and wasn't really familiar with it.  The slideshow was truly spectacular!

Djuma 8/19/08 Tingana in a tree

I know some of you may find this a little repetative, but I will repeat my stroy for those that haven't heard it yet.

The one thing I told my guide was find me Karula, i'm not leaving until I see her!  WE were out on a morning game drive. It was promising to be a very nice day, (after a day of cold and rain!)  We had driven quite far almost at the edge of Djuma, by the Kruger border.   When our guide  got the call that she was sighted, he just told us to hold on and off we went!  We were driving so fast and bouncinf up and down.   We were passing rhino and other animals just zipping by them, It was really fun!  We didn't know exactly what was going on but new it had to be good.  He later said he was sorry for the spedy driving but we loved it!  and it was sure worth it! We must have sat there for hours!  We even left for morning coffee (with amarula of course!) and came back to watch some more. When we got back we parked right under Tingana!  I only wish i had taken more video of Karula.  But I had a hard time putting my still camera down.  and Idid get some great shots of Karula with that camera.

    Djuma-White Cloth 8/18/08

We came upon White Cloth one night on the evening drive.  It was very cool to see her just walking along sort of on the side of the road, or what we made the road, They drive anywhere they can get the vehicles in and out of!  I am amazed that we never got stuck.

    Djuma-Hyena Pups and a Raucous Toad 8/18/08

WE sat at the hyena den for a long time and just watched the pups play,  They were so funny, they were rolling all over each other and play fighting and falling down.  It was a lot of fun to watch.  Later that night we came upon a Raucous Toad.  When you listen to the video you will get an idea on the sense of humor our guide had!

I'm very impressed, Beth...you stayed right with the bushbaby, and that can't have been easy to do!  Loved the hares, too.

Diana I'm not very good at journaling when i travel, I mostly just record what i've seen so I can remember for id purposes later, this thread has become my journal and it's all from memory, imagine what I'd write if I had journaled!  who knows what I've forgotten!

    Glad your enjoying it

Beth thank you so much for these wonderful videos. These Manyeleti boys are sure handsome and I bet they will be a force to be reckoned with when they mature.

White Cloth is gorgeous, she looked very well fed, do you think she is pregnant?

I still have a couple more to see. Thanks again, you did a wonderful job!

Beth did you keep a journal so that you could do your commentary, or did you just remember everything?
