I just checked the cam and it's live but you needn't to be glad because most part is white with a few black moving spots (birds)

WHEN IS THE CAM RETURNING AGAIN?

What a shame... We were going live for maybe a day or two now it's back to the tape again. Does anyone know when we may see it live again? Thank you...

Just checked it again, and got the rerun.  I'm so sad.  I really thought perhaps this one was going to happen.

Got it set up on MPC and watched for about a minute, and then it went to the tape.  *sigh*

Oh well, I have it ready to go now, if it goes live again!  Smile

I thought I read an email recently that talked about some of the cameras maybe starting up soon - did anyone else get that or read that in a recent email?  Or, was I just having a wonderful dream. . . .

    Kakadu Cam Update, 02/13/08

    G'Day Kakadu Cam Viewers:

We are still experiencing technical difficulties; the WildCam Team is working hard to get views of Kakadu streaming to you. Most problems are due to the weather and flooding. This makes it difficult to predict when it will go live. At this point, we're not missing much because flooding in the area limits animal activity. We're looking forward to dry season viewing!

    We'll keep you posted!

    Thanks,

    Mary, and the WildCam Team

I am sorry the prior post posted twice.  I didn't think I hit the "post" button and hit it again.  I tried t delete it but was too late.  I guess it's just the excitement of knowing that March is coming.  yippee.

Hurry, March, please hurry.  I have never seen this cam and just can't wait.   Big Smile

Thank you so much for all the work that you all put into this.  As fun as it seems to be, it must also be frustrating and exhausting at times.  Thanks for sharing it all.    Seahorse  or Julie

Star [*] LATEST NEWS ON KAKADU CAM

    G'Day, Mates!
Kakadu Cam is coming soon but not as quickly as we had anticipated. We've encountered a bit of a walkabout with technical snags and inclement weather; this is leaving our camera site underwater. If all goes well, you'll see the live feed soon. The animals may not give us a gander until the flooded area has dried out. In the meantime, Corey, our Director of Engineering, reports seeing lots of wonderful wildlife while setting up the cameras and satellite communications. We'll be learning more from him in "Field Notes from Corey at Kakadu".
Following the launch of the live feed, a Kakadu Kick-off event is in the works for March.
    It's worth the wait!
Good on ya, mates for your patience! Glad you're on board!
    Thanks,
    Mary, NGS
